It drives me nuts; the kids on these shows act like they're grownups, the parents seem to be their best friends, and life is full of nothing but fun and games. I really don't have to worry about the TV battle just yet; at this point, I use the parental code on the cable box. This way they can't really watch anything of which I don't approve. Your daughter's a bit older than mine are, so maybe an explanation of why you have a problem with the show would be fitting for this situation. Maybe just telling Mini why you find that type of behavior rude, obnoxious, and disrespectful may do the trick?? I haven't hit this road yet, but I know it will eventually come. During prime time we all agree on (and I'm a guy with three boys -- 11, 14 and 16 -- living with me every other week) and watch the popular sitcoms. I see a lot of Zack and Cody at my place.
